Nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) is most prevalent in eastern Asia, with the highest incidence reported among the Cantonese population from the province of Guangdong. Radiotherapy is the cornerstone of initial treatment due to the radiosensitive behavior of NPC and its deep-seated location.
